OAA- APV BBQ and Fly-In Event- Sat., August 7th Noon-3:00PM

Summer is in full swing, activity at the airport is hopping! So, it’s time for an Oceanside Airport Association BBQ and Fly-in Event, at the Oceanside Airport on Saturday, August 7th, from Noon to 3:00PM! The OAA is partnering with Airport Property Ventures (APV), our airport managers and developers, in sponsoring this event. APV has been looking to hold an event for the airport tenants, and we decided with APV to join together and have a BBQ where airport tenants, our regional aviation friends and the Oceanside public can join us as well.

We will have RC aircraft performing for us as we intend to close the runway for 30 minutes, from 1:30PM to 2:00PM for the RC aircraft to fly! As we did last fall, it should be a fantastic display!



We are all looking forward to a very enjoyable BBQ and Fly-In event!

Also, we expect a mix of vintage and GA aircraft to join us as always. This BBQ will give the airport tenants an especially good opportunity to socialize with our APV friends and get to know them better. As well, we invite all OAA members, friends, Oceanside residents and regional pilots to come join us by flying in or driving to the airport! There will be plenty of aircraft parking spaces, so come join us.

$6.00 per person covers the BBQ which will include hamburgers, chips, drink and desert. Our brave Active Duty Military guests will enjoy the BBQ for $4.00 per person.

We will hear from the partners at APV to give us a status of their first year at the airport, and a chance to rub shoulders with our aviation friends from across the San Diego county region. This is our first event of 2010, and we are all looking forward to seeing all our friends and having a good day at the airport!

We always have a few good surprises at our events so you will want to come and be a part of the action on Saturday August 7th, starting at Noon.
